Writing for Readers

Writing for an authentic purpose means writing for readers. Responding to the Parkland shootings in spring 2018, Project Lab students wrote about gun violence; their work was accepted for publication in the St. Louis Anthology. Living Questions celebrated our year-long inquiry into personally meaningful questions about ourselves, each other, and our world. The Egg Unit required critical thinking and writing about what we eat and why. Finally, Clothing in Context explored and represented students’ feelings about what we wear and why.
